Written to meet the needs of students of history and government preparing for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations, this book is an aid to revision work, as well as a sourcebook for the subject. Examination questions plus model answers are provided. It begins with the evolution of Kenyan societies, and traces the history of Kenya from pre-historic times to the present, including the structure of government in recent times. Turning to the themes of world history, the book discusses the emergence of modern socio-economic, political and technological systems and the nature of international relations. Each chapter is presented in the following way: a detailed summary of the key information the student should know and understand is followed by examination questions of the types used in papers 1 and 2 of this level; and model answers appear with each chapter and answers to multiple-choice questions are given in the final section of the book.
